Pulsed and Super Pulse vs. Continuous Wave:
The truth about pulsed or super-pulsed versus continuous wave lasers is that there is no scientific or clinical validity to show that pulsing or super pulsing lasers gives a better outcome than continuous wave lasers. Only newer generations of lasers, those above 15 watts and those that approach 30 watts, can be pulsed while at the same time maintain a high duty cycle and high average power output. Those conditions must be met if one desires to treat deeper pathologies like those mentioned in point number one.

There are only a few lasers that I like that are super pulsed. As long as the peak power is high then having a Super pulsed laser I approve of. I will say that these are safer to use for those that are worried about technicians not being trained properly and less room for error.
With the Super pulsed laser they can deliver higher wattage to deeper tissues without heating the area as hot. It allows for a higher joules per second delivered. Basically, its like getting mostly the lasers peak power instead of a lower constant power.

I strongly recommend these if their is concerns about having too much heat created on the area where the laser is being used. You basically don't have to constantly keep moving the laser around as much as you do with the super high powered lasers that aren't super pulsed. If getting a 30 to 60 watt class iv laser, just make sure you are trained. And I mean that.

See my page on NON-Pulsed lasers. This will help make a decision on which type is better for your practice. Both types are good but 50% of the people like the pulsed 50% like the non pulsed. See my NON pulsed page here.

Update: I will not sell lasers that are not FDA cleared. Too many doctors have gotten sued since I started this site. I will let everyone know which lasers are now approved
I will never trash talk lasers that did not get approved or those that were never cleared with the FDA. See my requirements for lasers that are not FDA cleared.
